Photography Exhibition - A Front Row Seat

Photographer Kirstin Sinclair launches her guest exhibition, A Front Row Seat in The Subculture Archives' basement gallery for London fashion week.

The Exhibition comes off the back of Kirstin’s book A Front Row Seat, originally published in 2011 by ACC Publishing Group. The book is a rare glimpse into the life of the people who set the trends and make the fashions, featuring a foreword written by British supermodel Erin Conner.  The exhibition showcases work from 2 key chapters of the book, alongside a large selection of new images collected over the last 6 years.

A series of street style and documentary images was shot at various international catwalk shows over the past 15 years.  This section includes new work that has never been exhibited before, and features key industry figures such as Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour, as well as newcomers to the model scene like Winnie Harlow, Cara Delevigne and Adwoa Aboah.

A selection of stunning images features collections from some of the world’s leading fashion houses, such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Dolce and Gabbana, and Alexander McQueen. These pictures were shot in the four fashion capitals of the world: New York, London, Milan and Paris. This chapter includes a rare shot of one of Kate Moss’s last appearances on the catwalk to date.

Kirstin Sinclair is a well-known photographer on the catwalk circuit and street style scene, and one of the main contributing street style photographers for Getty Images in the UK.
